Newark police arrested two female teenagers early Saturday morning for fighting in the School Lane apartment complex.
At approximately 1:33 a.m., officers responded to a complaint of a physical altercation between the teens, said Newark police spokesman MCpl. Gerald Bryda.
Upon arrival, officers witnessed the two teens wrestling on the ground and pulling each other's hair, he said.
Bryda said officers believe several of the approximately 25 bystanders watching attempted to break up the fight, but the two refused to separate until the police officers intervened.
Both were arrested and issued criminal summons for disorderly conduct. Neither are university students.
