Newark Police are investigating a stabbing with an unknown victim that occurred just after 1 a.m. on Friday morning in The Galleria on East Main Street. Police responded to a report that a man was stabbed during a large fight that had broken out after several men were ejected from Kildare’s.
Police arrived after the men had scattered. They found evidence of a stabbing, including a bloody T-shirt cut open in the chest, as well as blood smeared across floors and walls of The Galleria’s second floor, but found no victim.
As of 11 a.m. Friday morning, no one has sought treatment for a possible stab wound in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey or Pennsylvania hospitals.
