A Newark man was arrested last week after investigators found child pornography on his computer, Newark police said
Robert E. Methvin III, 24, of the unit block of Moss Court, was charged with 17 counts of dealing in child pornography after he allegedly used an e-mail account to distribute the images, said police spokesman Lt. Brian Henry.
An Internet service provider contacted the Delaware Department of Justice's Child Predator Task Force about pornographic e-mails being sent from the e-mail account. The account was tracked to Methvin's home, Henry said. Newark police searched Methvin's house and seized his laptop computer March 29.
Investigators were able to confirm the e-mail account belonged to Methvin, Henry said.
Methvin was released on $85,000 bail.
