Delaware improved its record to 6-3 Saturday when it defeated the Hofstra pride 28-24 at Delaware Stadium.

Hens RB Jerry Butler had a career day, rushing for two touchdowns and more than 100 yards. WR Mark Duncan and WR Rob Jones added Delaware's other two touchdowns on the day.

The Pride never quit, though, and took a 24-21 lead into the fourth quarter. However, Butler's second touchdown off the heals of a 72 yard reception from Hens QB Pat Devlin to WR Phillip Thaxton gave the Hens the final lead.
