An unknown person threw an object at an employee of Kentucky Fried Chicken on Marrows Road Thursday night, according to Newark police spokesman MCpl. Gerald Bryda.

According to the victim, at approximately 8:20 p.m., the suspect threw a drink back in through the drive-through window after purchasing an order. The drink struck the victim, and then the suspect quickly drove away from the establishment, Bryda said.

The suspect is described as college-aged and wearing a gray hoodie with the university logo on the front. The vehicle was described as a red, early 2000s four-door Volkswagen.

There are no suspects at this time. The charge would be offensive touching.
