Unemployment continues, students feel added pressure

Brink said he is still very optimistic about the job market for young people despite the recent spike in unemployment.

“In past years, when the recession was tighter, people were more easily discouraged, but the level of persistence in students looking for work will most likely increase,” he said. “The number of positive interactions between students and employers is already demonstrating a positive outcome.”
