Gallery: Newark Empowerment Center

The Newark Empowerment Center is located in the Newark United Methodist Church on Main Street.

Jerry White, 19, is homeless and is often mistaken as a student.

John Hamel, 46, slipped into poverty aftering losing a string of landscaping jobs.

A closer look at a Go Bag snacks and food passed out to those to come to the Center for help.

The Empowerment Center also distributes bags full of personal hygiene products as well as clothing.
