Professor to speak on cell research and life experiences today and tomorrow

Gilda Barabino, professor and associate chair at the Georgia Institute of Technology, will deliver two lectures Feb. 7 and 9. The first lecture will be held at 10:00 a.m. in

Wolf Hall Rm. 318 and will focus on her area of expertise, cell and tissue responses to mechanical forces in sickle cell disease. Her second lecture will be held at 2:30 p.m. in Gore Hall Rm. 303 and is entitled “Identity Formation and Career Progression: Differential Experiences for Underrepresented Minorities,” which will focus on her experience as a minorityduring her career.
