Preserving a piece of military history

Fifteen towers stand tall along the coastline in Lewes, Del., the home of the historic Fort Miles. Gary Wray, the president of the Fort Miles Historical Association, says these towers are U.S. Army Fire Control Towers that protected the coastline from enemy surface ships during World War II.

Drum circling is a form of percussive self-expression that is becoming a local favorite. It's a type of rhythmic drumming inspired by indigenous cultures from around the world.

When students walk into a classroom they expect to sit down at a desk and watch a professor lecture, not play the latest video or computer game. With a new contest for all professors in all departments, games will now be designed to make class interactive.


The Hives - 'The Black and White Album' reviewed

Swedish rockers The Hives usually operate in only two speeds - fast and lightning. On their new offering, "The Black and White Album," the sassy Swedes take their energy and attitude back to the '80s and give their audience some of the same post-modern punk mixed with a few indefinable departures.
