Gallery: Spirit squad send-off

The university's spirit squads held a pep rally Tuesday night to show off their routines before heading to a national competition.

The cheerleaders, dance team and mascot team all performed their full routines before a crowd at the Carpenter Sports Building.

The three teams are headed to the Universal Cheerleaders Association College Cheerleading and Dance National Championships, which starts Friday in at Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

In last year's competition, YoUDee won first place in the mascot competition, the dance team took first place in the Hip hop contest and the cheerleading squad placed second overall.
